"Chickening out?" he crowed, standing high up on
the ledge, cocking his head to the side.
“Quit horsing around,” she scolded. “You’re bugging me.”
He grinned sheepishly, “I’m sorry,” he said, finally cowed.
Good story and you managed to get in a bevy of animal references and verbs. Good job!
